YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

What does the treatment feel like?

You will feel a warm sensation as if you were lying on a sun-kissed beach. The heat from the treatment is the energy being delivered into the skin. It is nurturing and not damaging – near-infrared is on the opposite spectrum of light to UV

Is the treatment suitable for different skin types and skin colours?

Yes, LED is designed for all skin types, from light to dark, including tanned patients, and can be applied to the most sensitive of skins.

What is the difference between the different lights on the LED?

Blue Light Has powerful antibacterial properties for the treatment of acne without irritation, reduces oil production, prevents future breakouts and offers a UV-free alternative for the treatment of eczema and psoriasis. Red Light This increases natural hydration levels, reduced redness and inflammation, shrinks the appearance of pores, regulates oil production, improves circulation and accelerates skin repair. Near Infra-Red Light This is the most deeply absorbed wavelength, it increases cell permeability and absorption, smooths lines and wrinkles, improves elasticity, reduces pain and inflammation, accelerates wound healing and heals cystic acne

How often should I have this treatment?

A 10 treatment programme will boost the cells so optimal activity is achieved. Once completed, we advise to follow with maintenance treatments to maintain results. Programme Options : 3 x per week for 3 weeks 2 x per week for 5 weeks 2 x per week for 2 weeks, then once a week for 6 weeks (1 x per week for 10 weeks) Note: When correcting skin concerns (rejuvenation, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis etc), results are achieved quicker with treatments that are delivered closer together. Activity created during the 10 treatments will continue for up to 3 months. Maintenance : 1 x per week 3 x per month (every 10 days) 1 x every 2 weeks 1 x per month Boost to the skin: 1 x monthly or ad-hoc treatments

Are there any side affects you should be aware of?

Yes, LED treatments are very addictive ;)

What’s the difference between at-home light gadgets and in-salon light treatments?

The energy output is the main difference. An at-home handheld LED device or mask is not strong enough to deliver a therapeutic dose of energy into the skin to stimulate change, unless its used multiple times a week.
